Bad day gone good.

Today I've slept two hours and a half, I was writing an essay for uni. This time didn't even my morning cold shower helped me to get over the lazyness. Everytime I sleep little, I get into a very bad mood. I say goodbye quickly to my parents, walk lethargicly and don't say a word of gratitude when getting off the bus. Now I'm at the office and after deciding not considering a cup of coffee (it's 24°C outside), I started checking out the pictures I marked as favourite on Flickr. I think they brightened my day in a way, check them out and verify the effect in your day (in case it started as bad as mine).

Hoy he dormido 2 horas y media, estuve escribiendo un ensayo. Esta vez ni la ducha de agua fría que tomo siempre por las mañanas me ayudó a superar la modorra. Siempre que duermo poco, me pongo de un pésimo humor. Me despido rápido de mis padres, camino desganada y no digo gracias al bajar del micro. Ahora estoy en la oficina y luego de decidir no considerar una taza de café con 24°C afuera se me ocurrió ver las fotos que tengo marcadas en mi cuenta de Flickr como favoritas y creo que encontré la cura para la amargura mañanera. Vean y compruébenlo ustedes mismos, tal vez y se les alegra el día también (en caso haya comenzado tan pesado como el mío).

Paris Fashion week finally came to an end and so is my report on it. i'd like to write this time about Louis Vuitton. It's the first time I post on a Luis Vuitton collection. I find something special in it this time. The whole collection has very 50s shapes (which reveal womanly curves) and even when it lacks of variety when speaking about silhouettes, I have to say I like the old school spirit in it. Plus the bags are charming and I want them all.

La semana de la moda de Paris finalmente acabó y, con ella, termina mi reporte acerca de ella. Esta es la primera vez que escribo sobre una colección de Louis Vuitton. Esta vez hay algo especial. La colección tiene formas como cincuenteras (que revelan curvas femeninas) y aunque variedad en tanto siluetas es prácticamente nula, tengo que decir que me gusta el espíritu de vieja escuela que tiene. Además, los bolsos son un encanto (¿donde me consigo unos así?).

Haider Ackermann has all my respect, he makes wearable art. This collection is sublime (I could say gorgeous, amazing, great... but it's actually more than that), he created such impeccable and innovative structures that truly impressed me, I could easily say he's a master at this. With a magnificent mix of fabrics and layering, here it is my second favourite collection from Paris.

Haider Ackermann tiene todo mi respeto, él hace arte que se puede llevar puesto. Esta colección es sublime (podría decir linda, increíble, genial... pero es en realidad mucho más que eso). Creó estructuras tan impecables e innovativas, que sinceramente me dejó boquiabierta. Fácilmente podría decir que es un maestro en esto. Con una mezcla magnífica de materiales y capas, aquí les dejé mi segunda colección favorita de Paris.

I had been expecting during the whole week a collection that made me say "eureka!, this is exactly how I'd love to look this fall" and it finally came (it's like Antonio Marras read my mind, hidden desires included). Now I think it's pretty clear, my favourite collection for fall is Kenzo's. Absolutely love the mix of prints and the bohemian vibes going on.

Había estado esperano durante toda la semana una colección que me hiciera decir "¡Eureka! ¡así es exactamente como me gustaría lucir este invierno!" y finalmente la he encontrado (es como si Antonio Marras me hubiera leído la mente, incluídos deseos ocultos). Creo que ahora ya quedó bastante claro, mi colección favorita para invierno es la de Kenzo. Me encantó la mezcla de telas de estampado y la onda bohemia que proyecta.

As explained by Miuccia Prada after the show, she wanted this collection to reflect a mix between the 60s (that according to her is "still, in many people’s imagination, the future") and the 18th century. The collection is full of detailing (thin bows, jewerlly and appliqué mostly) and has clean and lovely tailoring. As usual, it has a fun & sexy side (as. that plunging neckline dress worn with a bandeaux inside shows), as well as a girly one (Ex. that light purple little dress full of flowers appliqué).

Como Miuccia Prada explicó acabado el show, ella quería que esta colección reflejara una mezcla de los años 60 (que, según ella, "son el futuro aún en la imaginación de mucha gente") y el siglo XVIII. La colección estuvo llena de detalles (lazos finos, joyería y aplicaciones sobre todo) y la confección fue limpia y adorable. Como es ya usual, se debate entre un lado divertido y sexy (como muestra ese primer vestido de escote en U que lleva una banda por dentro) y otro más femenino (que se puede notar, por ejemplo, en ese vestido corto color lila, lleno de aplicaciones de flores).
