Atlanta De Cadenet.

Since this girl first appeared on the cobra snake, everyone is wondering who she is. Some people like to call her the "Rachel Bilson look alike", but the truth is she's Atlanta Noo de Cadenet Taylor and is 17. Atlanta was born in England and her parents are John Taylor (Duran Duran) and Amanda De Cadenet. No doubt, she has a pretty unique style.

Topshop AW09 lookbook.

Well, Topshop's latest lookbook is finally out. I'm always keen to discovering what's new in their stores. Their AW09 lookbook was no exception, I was pretty excited to see what was coming and now I've seen it, I feel partly disappointed. Despite some amazing pieces that keep me repeating my all the time saying "I wish we had topshop over here", I'm not honestly blown away by the most of the looks. Anyway these were my favourite looks, you can check the other ones out at Topshop's website.

The moldy peaches tee.

Moldy peaches tee (made by me), Topshop beanie, vintage Adrienne Vittadini cardigan, black axxs trousers, shoes bought in some cheap shop at the Reeperbahn Str. (Hamburg, Germany) & quilted chain bag (unknown brand).

It's my first band tee. I forgot to take pictures of the t-shirt itself, it's long sleeved, has a pretty cool "A" cut and is kind of long. When there isn't any enthusiastic photographer around, I take my pictures myself (happens most of the time, I must confess). These all were taken, as some of you guessed the other day, in the library. Not a public one, it's actually our Family library, although we also have books in our own rooms and backpacks/briefacases/purses. Well, it's pretty late here and I should go to bed, for my body and mental sake! I'll return comments by the weekend, you are all incredible. Keep up the feedback please, reading your opinions/suggestions/comments makes me believe that the effort put into this blogging thing is worth it indeed :)

Wardrobe: It's On With Alexa Chung.

Although I don't watch her show, I do actually check what she wore in each episode. Wait a minute... actually, I did watch it once (online). It was a Daniel Radcliffe interview, she made him wear a wig (remember that clearly).

PS. Somebody asked about Alexa's last dress and yes, it is from Lover.

My velvet dress.

Yes, I made myself a velvet dress and I quite like how it turned out. I chose emerald green and made a couple of cuts on the back (excuse the crappy webcam shots, I was too lazy to set the tripod and then wait for ten seconds for each photo). Had my first day of 6th semester at Uni, boring as hell. Wish I could go back to 5th when I was in love with every subject and lector. Maybe I shouldn't jump into conclusions this fast, hopefully things will work out better tomorrow.

Shots by Billy Kidd.

.............................................................................................................

Billy Kidd is a talented photographer from Arizona, now living in New York. His work is incredibly versatile and checking out his portfolio is a delight to the eyes. I had a hard time choosing the pictures I'd use for this post because they're all pretty good. Actually I could have posted his whole work, but I didn't since I want you to check his site. His last Beauty shots feauture model Shelby Truax (isn't she pretty?, I love her freckles) and he was very kind to send me these beautiful shots of her that haven't been published yet on his blog. Be sure to check out his geometric beauty (you can check the editorial on La'g magazine too) and conceptual shots (very remarkable as not many artists are willing to experiment with their work in that way). Also, he's pretty good with motion shots. I reckon we'll see more of his work in the future and I have no complaints on that at all.

Velvet is the fabric of the season.

Diane von Furstenberg leopard dress, Thayer skirt, Carin Wester ruffle dress, Alexander Wang motorcycle jacket, Topshop body-con dress & Topshop blazer.

( Also, we've already seen velvet on Chloé FW runway & Isabelle from the movie "The dreamers")

Lover: F/W 2009 collection.

Susien Chong and Nic Briand wanted to create a label based on those things they love and admire. That's how Lover was born. Today, I'm pleased to show you their very feminine and romantic north hemisphere FW 2009 collection. Hope you like it as much as I do. Oh, and the model is the , now very popular, Tallulah Morton (yes, the cobra snake's favourite girl right now).

Vintage beaded purse.

(Pictures taken by me)

This purse is another gift from my very generous mother and I bet it has the power to turn any plain outfit into something interesting. Very 50s glamour, I think.

PS. I know I haven't paid too much attention to your blogs lately and I'm sorry about that, I'll give you a visit tonight, I haven't forgot about you and I couldn't be any more grateful for your visits, mails and sweet comments.

Five pair of shoes I'd be happy to own.

1. Rockabilly Creepers from Free People

2. Acne's Atacoma wedges

3. Frye Engineer boots

4. Northern Lights Boots from Free People
(Chloé alike booties)

5. Floral Dr. Martens

The crop top.

This is not really an "update your basics" post. It's more of a "go back to the 80s" one. After all, that's what designers have been doing over the last seasons: bringing back stuff from the 80s & 90s.

Non body-con crop tops are not that bad, they actually look cool with tighter pieces on bottom (balance, again). Wearing a tight top underneath the loose cropped one (like the second model) is also an option. If worn properly there will be no "looking vulgar". It's all about finding he ideal one, which, in my opinion, would be not too short, not too tight.
